THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD,
AS THEY THAT ARE LEFT GROW OLD;
AGE SHALL NOT WEARY THEM
NOR THE YEARS CONDEMN.
AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN
AND IN THE MORNING,
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.

My uncle Jim was wounded on the 15th October 1944 and died of his wounds on the 18th October 1944 at
Venray,Southern Holland, if you ever visit this region of Holland call and see the War Museum at Overloon,it is
the next town to Venray.
When he died he was attatched to the Suffolk's he actually joined the East Yorkshire's and served in India
before the war started, he left a wife (Aunt Rhoda..nee
Manchester) and two son's Colin (died 2003) and James
living at Brentwood,Essex.
